The company designs, manufactures, markets and services a full line of Ford cars, trucks, SUVs, electrified vehicles and Lincoln luxury vehicles, provides financial services through Ford Motor Credit Company and is pursuing leadership positions in electrification, autonomous vehicles and mobility solutions.
In Thailand, Ford manages the production, distribution, sales and servicing of Ford brand vehicles through its ASEAN regional headquarters and Thailand national sales company, both located in Bangkok, and two world-class manufacturing facilities located in Rayong.
Ford employs more than 10,000 people in Thailand between its wholly-owned and joint-venture operations.
Since 2011, Ford has been one of the fastest growing automotive brands in Thailand, outpacing overall industry sales and gaining market share. This is being driven by the segment-defining Ranger pickup truck, the Everest premium SUV, EcoSport compact SUV, as well as the Focus and Fiesta passenger cars.
AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) is Ford’s joint-venture facility, which serves as the primary production facility of the Ranger, as well as the Everest. Both are built for the domestic market and export across the region.
Ford Thailand Manufacturing (FTM) is a state-of-the-art passenger car facility, where the Focus, Fiesta and EcoSport are built for sale in the domestic and export markets. FTM also produces incremental Ranger volume to help meet extraordinary demand across the region.
Additionally, Ford is continuing with efforts to enhance its customer and ownership experience in Thailand. This includes further expanding its nationwide retail footprint – which now totals 143 Ford dealer locations – to more locations across Thialand, providing even wider access to the Ford brand.
Helping to strengthen the communities in which Ford operates is a core priority, with efforts that include helping improve community life, education, driver safety and environment.
Ford launched its global Driving Skills for Life program in Thailand in 2008, which aims to raise awareness of driver and road safety. To date, more than 10,000 licensed drivers have participated in the program, free-of-charge.
Ford employees volunteer for a number of initiatives each year to deliver tangible benefits to local communities in Thailand, including building new homes with Habitat for Humanity for underprivileged families, and renovating schools.
